Bersih 2.0

The Bersih 2.0 rally was organised by the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih), was supported by opposition party, but was deemed illegal by the government. Bersih, chaired by former president of the Bar Council Ambiga Sreenevasan, were pushing the Election Commission of Malaysia (EC) to ensure free and fair elections in Malaysia. It demanded that the EC clean up the electoral roll, reform postal voting, use indelible ink, introduce a minimum 21-day campaign period, allow all parties free access to the media, and put an end to electoral fraud.
The rally was attended by more than 20,000 people, who entered the city from various points. However, the protestors were unable to congregate at Merdeka Stadium as many were forced to disperse by police who were heavily deployed throughout the city. Police arrested more than 1,600 protestors, including Ambiga and several opposition figures.

Maharaja Lawak final show in Shah Alam June 24, 2011. Maharaja Lawak – The most viewed reality tv in Malaysia. This is the first time ever, a comedian reality show has been done in such a huge scale. Subscribers have increased by 70 percent over the last three months on air. An unofficial report claims the subscription had shot up to more than half a million over the period of one and half months while the viewership of the show increased to one million over the months.

Radio-controlled cars (R/C) are self-powered model cars or trucks that can be controlled from a distance using a specialized transmitter. The term “R/C” has been used to mean both “remote controlled” and “radio controlled”, where “remote controlled” includes vehicles that are connected to their controller by a wire, but common use of “R/C” today usually refers to vehicles controlled by a radio-frequency link.

Malaysia’s landmark Petronas Twin Towers seen in Kuala Lumpur June 9, 2011. Petronas profit increased to RM63 billion for its financial year ended March 31 2001, increased almost 40 percent compared to last year. CEO of Petronas, Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas said, it was generated by the high fuel price and more sales volume.
