Sejuta Umat Gathering

Shah Alam October 22, 2011. The Gathering of One Million Muslims (Himpun), themed “Save Our Faith” wants the government to formulate a special law to prevent activities to convert Muslims in the country. This was among 10 resolutions reached at the gathering, which included provisions safeguarding the special position of Islam, as enshrined in the Federal Constitution, to be drafted into the new law to replace the Internal Security Act. About 4,000 people, including representatives from several non-governmental organisations, attended the gathering which was held at the Shah Alam Stadium.
